BT Young Scientist

St Patrick’s College, Cavan were represented in the BT Young Scientist  2020 by Philip Smyth (Mullagh) and James McBreen (Lavey). Philip and James were two transition year students whose successful application was based on their social investigation on  ‘An Investigation of E cigarette use and vaping in Secondary School students’. The investigation was to determine if E cigarettes and vaping were a social trend among students or a genuine preference over regular cigarettes. The boys surveyed a cohort of students within and outside the County of Cavan to collate a sufficient sample size for their results.
