St. Patrick’s College is a voluntary Catholic secondary school for boys, where our Christian ethos informs all that we do. Founded in 1871, St. Patrick’s College has stood as a cornerstone of education in Cavan for over 150 years. In 2024, we proudly marked our 150th anniversary, a significant milestone that offered us the opportunity to reflect on the College’s enduring legacy and its deep-rooted connection to the people of Cavan.

As one of the oldest post-primary schools in the region, the College has played a central role in the educational, cultural, sporting and spiritual life of the community. Generations of students have passed through our doors, shaped not only by academic learning, but by the values of service, faith, and integrity that have long defined life at St. Patrick’s.
